Exploring

Last night I met with friends after studying to decide what we might do for entertainment. We settled on walking around and exploring, especially since the closest Julia had gotten that day to outside was going down to the basement.
We took some photos.

Here’s a creepy one that looks a bit like the apocalypse:

I finished and submitted an article for the bulletin at 5:30 pm today; it was due at 6 pm, so that was pretty close. It only took so long because I put off talking to people. I’m too shy to be a journalist, I think. Anyway, the issue should come out Sept. 21 and they publish new issues every week after that. I think I’ll send it home to my parents as a surprise, assuming there isn’t something terribly wrong with my article to keep it from publication.
I’ve been feeling strange about school and classes so far, like I’m not really prepared. I think I forgot how to write and analyze, not to mention the deterioration of my German. But it’s only been 3 days of classes, so I have time to settle in, I guess. Perhaps not settle so much as work harder.
Ah, so I get the first comment again! That means I get a yellow box instead of a white box for some reason. Why is this?
Your photos are nice and artistic (the first and third ones). The first photo seems like a frame from a movie. The third one could possibly be from a zombie movie where the city is infested by the dead. I think the green tinge does the trick.
Now the second photo, wow. How come everyone’s asian?
Hey, if your article gets published, post it on your blog so we can read it. Good luck with your classes. I think I forgot everything I learned this summer so I’ll have to some fantastic method of recall and learning.

Oh and, I’m not sure if you planned to have it like this, but the comments paragraphs are being bunched together. There isn’t a whitespace separator between the paragraphs. To fix this, find:
.commentlist p {
margin: 0;
}
in the styles.css file in the theme directory and remove the margin: 0 part. That will allow the paragraphs to, well, have margins (whitespace).

I don’t know about this white box/yellow box thing. I was wondering about it yesterday. There are several things I don’t really like about this theme but I’m not experienced enough with CSS to locate and fix them, yet. I’m working on it, though. Thanks for the whitespace advice; I’ll try that.
Only 2/3 of the people in the second photo are Asian, actually.
(Oh, I think you’re the first again because you’re the only one who’s reading it!)

Ah, well, I don’t really have anything that important to do these days so I decided to track down the first comment yellow problem…
It turns out that the author tries to alternate the CSS class in the comment to ‘odd’ and ‘even’. The odds display the yellow. However, he missing something small on line 42 of /wp-content/themes/comments.php and checked for ‘alt’ instead of ‘even’ (for some reason). Fixed it now.
Since you put up a lot of pictures, really check out Flickr. Thumbnails are automatically generated for all images you upload so you can just copy and paste the HTML code they give you and display your images easily.

Yeah, I think I will sign up with Flickr. I was thinking about using some kind of service, but I wasn’t sure if that was a good one.

Of course it’s a good one; I use it! (Heh, something I use before you…but you know why I use it, anyway.) And Pookie, I’d really like issues of the bulletin (I’m not sure what to do with that) if your articles are in them.
